But we’ll start with yesterday: Yesterday, after school, the boys and I went to 7-11 to get them Slurpees and some cash back for my oldest to take to school for lunch today. The card was declined, because someone in Brooklyn managed to get hold of my debit card number. The bank, bless ’em, caught it in time, but that meant my card was cancelled and I’d have to get a new one.
Today: So I spent an hour at the bank (still no card, though) and got cash to use. I didn’t make it to his school on time, so I called, was transferred to the Cafeteria, and spoke with Nancy (who my oldest has affectionately nicknamed “Nosy”). It turns out that at that very moment, my boy was right in front of her.
I got to tell him that I loved him at 11:45 a.m. on a school day.
